NewburghSkateParkUpdate_2

About one year ago we did a post to help Newburgh, NY get a skate park after Wyatt Stevens reached out to us for some help. Since then the project is moving forward and is expected to begin construction next Spring! Congratulations to Wyatt and everyone who helped support the project. Here’s a thank you letter via Wyatt:

“Two years ago we began the process of having a state-of-the-art skate plaza built in the city of Newburgh. After two years of pushing forward we’ve received a grant for $100k from Senior Senator – Bill Larkin. This makes the whole process worth the amount of effort put in. I want to thank everyone that made it possible and everyone that supported our effort to better our community through skateboarding. That includes all of the the skateboarders in the Hudson Valley, Courtney Kain for her diligence, Upstate Skateboards, Dan Finkelstein, Chocolate Skateboards and NYskateboarding.com for Believing in the project from it’s earliest stages. We break ground in Spring 2015 and I hope to see everyone there for the grand opening! KEENAN FOREVER!” – Wyatt Stevans
