Jeff Pang and DC Shoes invited us to watch “Waiting for Lightning”, the Danny Way documentary last Friday night at the East Village Cinema. The film covers everything from Danny Way’s life growing up, his skateboarding career and the boundaries he’s broken on and off the board. A must see for anyone that skates or used to skate… and no the movie doesn’t address the Josh Swindell incident. After the film we had the pleasure to have some questions answered by the film’s writer – Bret Anthony Johnston.

Peter Pabón shot some photos before and after the showing, check them below. “Waiting for Lightning” is playing now at select theaters, for anyone near NYC here’s the East Village Cinema showtimes. We also have an exclusive interview that Taji Ameen did with the filmmaker – Jacob Rosenberg, read it here.
