Big Brother never stopped pushing the envelope. In 1992, Steve Rocco started the magazine because existing publications were censoring his World Industries advertisements. This resulted in the most controversial magazine in skateboarding’s history. Discontinued in 2004, Big Brother led to Dickhouse Productions—the company behind the Jackass franchise, Rob & Big, and Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory. For better or worse, the demise of Big Brother had an undeniable impact on where we are today. Many comparisons are made between Jenkem and Big Brother.
