KCDC Ramp For Sale – 1 Week Only (2012)

Last week KCDC announced that they’re moving and will need to sell the mini ramp. We decided to head down and take some better photos of it to show it’s true condition. The dimensions of the ramp are 5′ high, 16′ wide, 34′ long. The platforms are 4′ deep and all supports are made with pressure treated wood (see pics below). The top layer is also in great condition and was just replaced within the past year. This ramp is solid!

If you or someone you know is interested please contact minirampkcdc@gmail.com ASAP as the ramp will have to be removed between Sunday (2/26/2012) and Tuesday (2/28/2012). KCDC has to be out of the location by March 1st, 2012. Stay posted for info about KCDC’s new location.

Sunday Scan – Harold Hunter NYC Cab Skitch (1989)

NYC skateboarding legend Harold Hunter passed away 6 years ago this past Friday so we’re posting this week’s Sunday Scan in his memory. This photo of Harold skitching on a classic NYC 80′s cab was shot by Charlie Samuels back in 1986 and is also featured in the NYC skateboard photography book  - FULL BLEED. RIP Harold Hunter, Legends Never Die!

Catching Up On A Few February Posts (2012)

We’ve been a little busy working on our 5Boro features the past week and had a few things we wanted to post. To start a bunch of interviews dropped including: Steve Rodriguez via WhatIt.Be, Jason Dill – Part 1 via Transworld, Shawn Powers via Quartersnacks and Luis Tolentino via Ride. Also, SLAP’s “One In A Million” Episode 4 dropped (definitely better than Episode 3). The Hundreds did a collaboration cruiser with Penny Skateboards and released a promo clip featuring Joseph Delgado and Pat Hoblin.

That should bring us up to speed for the week, regular posts will continue next week including some NY Clips.

Photo Recap: 5Boro Join or Die Premiere (2012)

5Boro packed out Santos Party House last night for the “Join, or Die” world premiere. Fans waited outside on a huge line wrapping around the block… in the rain, no less. At 8PM the doors opened and the venue filled to capacity in no time. Steve Rodriguez, Mark Nardelli and Tombo Colabraro took to the stage and thanked everyone for waiting out in the rain and then introduced vid. Willy Akers had the first part, and then (in true skateboarding video premiere fashion) the video system crashed and had to be rebooted. On the second run everything was cool and the crowd cheered on as they watched 7 years of hard work up on the big screen.  Congratulations to 5Boro for cranking out an awesome vid and thanks to Supra & Red Bull for sponsoring the event! Photos from throughout the night below, video recap should be up next week.

Also, don’t forget about the upcoming shop premieres and the online Thrasher Premiere scheduled for 2/24/2012 (new promo clip below):
