Damn Am 2016 came through town this past weekend for it’s final stop for the year right here in NYC at LES Skatepark. Paul Zitzer and the SPOT Life crew flew up to run the contest and got some skating in themselves too. After a long day of Practice on Friday, they turned around and started setting up around 7am on Saturday.

The turnout was a good one for the event, bringing out locals, ams from everywhere, and even Karl Watson.

Over 400 ams skated in the practice and qualifiers but it all came down to one: Zach Saraceno. Coming off his first ever Damn Am win at Woodward West two weeks ago, Zach not only won first place, he won Damn Am of the Year. You can see his winning run on via SPOT Life on Ride Channel. There was a best trick too…the staple “huck-yourself-down-the-double-set” of any LES contest. Frank Branca put together a video of the highlights. For more Final Photos go to SPOT’s website.
