The weather this week has me reminiscing about the warmer months for sure. Last Summer, Fat Boiz Official Skateboards from Upstate NY took a trip out to Weirdwood in Maine at the same time a few friends and I headed up to spend the weekend. This was the first time I met Austin Angelo and the rest of the Fat Boiz crew. These guys from Upstate NY just wanted to skate, party and have a good time. If you’ve never done a camping-skate trip, I can’t say enough good things about it. You need to do it at some point in your life, preferably multiple times. There’s nothing like camping out in tents, waking up and skating from when you get up until you go to sleep. It was basically a full on party vibe the entire weekend. Austin managed to put together an edit of the weekend that is below.

When the weather warms up, there are plenty of spots in New York and the east coast in general to go hit up. It’s definitely good to get out of the city for a while and see what else NY and our neighboring states have to offer. Just ask the Gnarmads, traveling is awesome. Big thanks to Rob Kookmeyer for hosting us at his spot all weekend! For more on Weirdwood check out their site.
