Long Island just opened another new cement skate park, this time in Port Washington (Manorhaven Beach Park) which is about 50 minutes east of NYC. The $350k park is about 10,000-square-feet and was designed by Spohn Ranch with input from the local skateboarders. Blueprints below were found on the park’s official Facebook page. After reading a few wall posts it looks like the park has lights, pads are highly recommended and is free! Props to the skateboarders who made this park happen and kudos to Jon Kaiman (Supervisor) and Fred Pollack (Councilman) for not only building the skate park but for building it right – with the input from local skateboarders!
